The Thai Halal Association (THA) welcomed a delegation from BARMM, Philippines, for discussions and to exchange experiences in managing Thai halal products internationally.

On March 30, 2026, at the office of the Central Islamic Committee of Thailand, Pol. Maj. Gen. Surin Palare, Secretary-General of the Central Islamic Committee of Thailand, led the committee in welcoming FARSERINA A. MOHAMAD, Minister of Trade, Investment and Tourism from the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), Philippines, on a visit to Thailand to strengthen relations and conduct a study tour.

The discussions focused on exchanging in-depth knowledge on halal. The BARMM delegation showed particular interest in CICOT's management policies, halal certification systems, and its globally recognized experience. The Philippine delegation expressed their desire to use CICOT's management model as a blueprint for adaptation within their own organization to further elevate halal standards in the region.
