The President of the Privy Council presided over the Iftar (breaking of the fast) dinner of the THAILAND IFTAR PROGRAM, a Ramadan Iftar dinner for the Hijri year 1447.

On February 22, 2026, at 5:50 PM, the Central Islamic Committee of Thailand, in conjunction with the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (Tika), hosted the THAILAND IFTAR PROGRAM Iftar (breaking of the fast) dinner for the month of Ramadan, Hijri year 1447. General Surayud Chulanont, President of the Privy Council, presided over the ceremony, offering congratulations and blessings for the blessed month of Ramadan. Mr. Arun Boonchom, the Chularajmontri (Chief Islamic Religious Leader of Thailand), and Police Major General Surin Palare, Secretary-General of the Central Islamic Committee of Thailand, welcomed the guests at the Al Meroz Hotel, Bangkok.

The event was attended by many dignitaries, including the Speaker of the Parliament, Members of Parliament, Ambassadors from Muslim countries to Thailand, members of the Central Islamic Committee of Thailand, chairpersons of provincial Islamic committees, representatives of Islamic religious organizations in Thailand, and representatives from various sectors of the Thai Muslim community.

In addition, a ceremony was held to present financial support to mosques without provincial Islamic committees, provided by the Office of the Central Islamic Committee of Thailand. To promote and support the mosque's activities during Ramadan to achieve the greatest benefit.
