Phraya Chularatchamontri
(Nam - Muhammad Taqi)

Phraya Chularatchamontri (Nam) was the fourth Chularatchamontri of the Rattanakosin Kingdom and the eighth of the Kingdom of Thailand. His Islamic name was "Mirza Muhammad Taqi." He was the son of Phraya Chularatchamontri (Thuean) and Khunying Nok.

During the reign of King Rama III (King Nangklao), he was elevated to the title of Phra Ratchasethi. Two years later, he was promoted to Phraya Chularatchamontri, but he did not yet assume the position of Chularatchamontri because his father was still alive and held the office.

After his father passed away, he was officially appointed as the third Phraya Chularatchamontri of the Rattanakosin Kingdom. The king also granted him authority over the special treasury for foreign affairs within the Royal Harbor Department.

Phraya Chularatchamontri (Nam) passed away at the age of 74, around the middle of the reign of King Rama IV (King Mongkut). His body was buried at the Ton Son Mosque (Kudi Yai) at the mouth of the Bangkok Yai canal.
